About the role

Fleet Services by Cox Automotive (FSCA) is a leading provider of on-site mobile maintenance and repair services for light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. We support our customers through 20+ nationwide service centers, offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. Our services include scheduled maintenance, unscheduled services, and roadside assistance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspect vehicles for mechanical deficiencies.
  • Perform light and major repairs.
  • Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics.
  • Interact directly with customers and exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Work independently or in a team environment.
  • May maintain/repair equipment such as cable trailers, laptop docking stations, etc.
  • Keep shop area clean and tidy.
  • Adhere to safety standards and dispose of fluids safely.
  • Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records.
  • Up-fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
  • Conduct more complex repairs, advanced diagnostics, design, and fabrication.
  • Interface with vendors for parts and repairs.
  • Provide roadside assistance as needed.
  • Engage in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks including welding.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace general automotive parts and accessories.
  • Conduct a wide range of diagnoses and repairs, including brakes, drivability, emissions, steering/suspension, electrical, state safety and emissions testing, maintenance services, HVAC, major engine, and hydraulics.
  • Work on multiple applications from Light-Duty to Class A-Heavy Trucks, Mechanical Equipment, Machinery, Passenger Vehicles, and more.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Master Level ASE certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a valid DOT medical card.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience with diesel and transmission repairs.
  • Knowledge of DOT and CDL requirements for medium and heavy truck applications.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.

Pay & Benefits

The hourly pay rate is in the range of $29.38 - $44.09/hour. Additional compensation may include commission, incentive programs, and paid time off. Employees are eligible for a minimum of 6.67 hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Additional benefits include bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
