About the role

The Sr. Financial Analyst in the Sponsored Products finance organization serves as a key member of the Sponsored Products advertising team. This role involves working closely with product and finance leaders to develop business strategies, financial models, and analytical insights that influence business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a finance partner for the SP product and engineering leaders on strategic initiatives, leading planning, business modeling, and financial analysis;
  • Design and develop performance metrics, institute reporting mechanisms, and implement processes to drive insights related to business performance for stakeholders;
  • Facilitate financial and operational metrics review meetings with product and finance leaders and work with business to drive effective execution;
  • Develop financial models for new business initiatives, experimentation, and special projects;
  • Collaborate with business intelligence engineers and data engineers to continually improve and enhance existing reporting and mechanisms, proactively identify performance issues and deep dive to investigate and uncover insights;

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience;
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience;
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience;
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience;
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience;
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience;
  • Six Sigma Black Belt experience;
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence;
  • Knowledge of Tableau;
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
