Sr Financial Analyst, Leo Mobility Finance

Description

Leo is Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. We are looking for an entrepreneurial minded Senior Financial Analyst to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology, is interested in analyzing new business opportunities, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions to business questions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain long range financial models to project and evaluate business performance against key goals and identify key call outs and drivers to senior management
  • Perform strategic financial analysis of key go-to-market strategies, including partnership evaluation, segment prioritization, and pricing strategy
  • Build and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad hoc analyses
  • Create and implement revenue and cost models to be incorporated into business reviews
  • Lead automation efforts of critical processes
  • Educate business partners on financial and operational trade-offs, exercising sound judgement in ambiguous situations with limited or challenging data
  • Aid in developing and implementing financial policies, procedures, and internal controls

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business economics, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, information technology or equivalent
  • Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CFA
  • Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
  • Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
