Sr. Financial Analyst FP&A

About the Role
The FP&A Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial and analytical support to the enterprise leadership team to help improve business performance and drive improved financial and clinical outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring a background in supporting operational reporting needs, project ownership, understanding metrics, report development, analytical thinking, and teamwork. Preferred 6 years of experience with a health plan or medical group in a finance/analytics/reporting capacity. Only candidates located in PST/MST time zones will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal finance teams to help prepare and consolidate monthly financial decks.
- Understand and contribute to enhancement of comprehensive forecast and budget processes, providing support with analytic approaches.
- Maintain, enhance, and publish standardized financial reporting packages while continuously refining reporting frameworks, automation, and analytics to support business decision-making.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to identify automation opportunities, streamline reporting workflows, and drive deeper analytical insights across the FP&A function.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously refine sophisticated mathematical allocation models.
- Understand and track KPIs on a monthly/quarterly basis in partnership with different functions across the organization.
- Build and work with models containing sensitive information, sharing results with appropriate parties while demonstrating a high degree of discretion.
- Create and maintain reports/data extracts using data sources such as Workday/Adaptive platform.
- Perform ad hoc analysis based on requests/needs of management in a timely manner.

Requirements
- 6+ years of related work experience, preferably in a health care / managed care setting.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and P&L mechanics, including Net Income, EBITDA, cost centers, and month-end close processes.
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Microsoft Access, Power Query, Python, or other automation tools preferred.
- Financial systems knowledge, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to extract, transform, and summarize large datasets.
- Excellent analytical abilities; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple responsibilities, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or other related field.
- Preferred: Any ERP system experience (e.g., Hyperion, Essbase, SAP, Adaptive Insights). Workday system experience and healthcare knowledge is a plus.

Pay
Salary range shown is a guideline: $87,000.00 - $106,600.00. Individual compensation packages can vary based on factors unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, and qualifications.
