Responsibilities
- Directly support leadership in month end reporting and variance analysis;
- Drive initiatives to evaluate and monitor operational productivity;
- Partner with product leaders to evaluate historical data and forecast future program performance;
- Review and update standard costs and monitor production variances;
- Forecast monthly/quarterly/annual revenue, including over-time revenue recognition;
- Collaborate on Annual Projects (Budget, 5 Year Sales Goal Strategy, Incurred Cost Submissions, Forward Rates);
- Prepare, evaluate, and monitor financial data for major investments and capital projects;
- Drive continuous improvement toward standardization of reporting and master data;
- Support audits with government procurement agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;
- CMA or MBA preferred;
- A minimum of 5 years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization;
- Ability to navigate multiple ERPs is required; SAP experience is preferred;
- Must be highly self-motivated and eager to increase knowledge base;
- Knowledge of Government Cost Accounting Standards or a background in Cost Accounting is preferred;
- Strong knowledge of Government requirements including FAR’s and DFAR’s;
- Office 365 skills required including expert level Excel experience;
- High degree of professionalism with the ability to present clear and concise presentations to executive leadership using PowerPoint to interpret data into appropriate charts that deliver useful metrics;
- Must be comfortable in a high volume, fast paced, dynamic environment;
- Must be able to multitask.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to Department of Energy requirements.
Skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- Proficiency in Office 365, particularly Excel;
- Experience with Government Cost Accounting Standards or Cost Accounting;
- Knowledge of FAR’s and DFAR’s;
- Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
