Job Requirements

Sweetwater, the nation’s #1 online retailer of pro audio gear and musical instruments, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing Accounting & Finance team.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the preparation of financial budgets and forecasts, focusing on financial analysis and insights.
  • Support the continuous improvement of budget and forecasting processes to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Prepare timely and accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial result presentations for senior leadership.
  • Create, maintain, and manage advanced reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights.
  • Review actual performance against budgets and forecasts and prepare supporting variance analyses.
  • Participate in the monthly close process as needed and collaborate with the accounting team.
  • Contribute to the development of long-term financial projections and models.
  • Perform ad-hoc research and analysis as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with 5-7 years in FP&A preferred
  • P&L experience and knowledge of financial systems and accounting concepts
  • CPA or CFA preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups and pivot tables
  • Experience with Alteryx, Looker, or similar software/Excel modeling and Tableau or similar software visualization processes preferred
  • Knowledge of Workday or other financial systems preferred
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and processes, as well as financial modeling concepts
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and take ownership of significant issues
  • Experience building quality relationships with internal stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills and aptitude for logical analysis and problem-solving
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment and handle competing tasks
  • Ability to analyze issues, determine necessary group involvement, and drive resolution
