Sr. Financial Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to support high-impact financial planning and analytical efforts for a growing organization in Atlanta, Georgia. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can translate complex financial data into clear business insights and provide dependable support for forecasting, modeling, and performance evaluation. The successful candidate will work across multiple data sources, develop actionable analysis, and help leadership make informed financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain financial models that support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
• Evaluate financial results against plans and prior periods, identifying trends, risks, and key performance drivers.
• Perform detailed variance reviews and explain differences through clear, data-backed reporting.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decisions, operational initiatives, and business priorities.
• Gather, organize, and interpret large datasets using data mining techniques to uncover meaningful insights.
• Prepare recurring and on-demand financial reports for stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to collect inputs, validate assumptions, and improve financial visibility.
• Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and related tools to analyze financial information and support reporting processes.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis within a corporate or business-facing environment.
• Strong ability to create and refine financial models for planning, forecasting, and decision support.
• Hands-on experience performing variance analysis and explaining business performance fluctuations.
• Proven capability to complete ad hoc financial analysis under changing business needs and deadlines.
• Proficiency in data mining techniques and working with large or complex financial datasets.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Skills

• Advanced Excel skills and comfort presenting findings in a clear, detail-focused manner.
