Sr. Financial Analyst
About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A supports financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for an operating division of Enpro. Reporting into the FP&A organization, the Senior Financial Analyst plays a key role in translating financial data into actionable insights, supporting capital investment decisions, and helping operating leaders improve business performance. This position is well-suited for a high-potential finance professional with a growth mindset who is eager to develop into a best-in-class business partner while collaborating closely with the broader FP&A team to help shape and advance Enpro FP&A best practices.
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities for the corporate and shared services business units.
- Produce and analyze monthly financial performance, including variance analysis versus prior year, budget, and forecast.
- Provide direct business support to operating sites, including margin analysis, cost trends, productivity initiatives, and operational KPIs.
- Support global reporting across business units, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and transparency in financial results and forecasts.
- Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support operational decisions, cost actions, pricing discussions, and growth initiatives.
- Support capital project evaluation, including ROI analysis, post-investment tracking, and ongoing performance monitoring.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and other functional leaders to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
- Prepare and maintain management reporting and presentations for leadership and FP&A stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the broader FP&A team to develop, refine, and implement Enpro FP&A best practices, tools, and standard processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, standardization, and data quality across FP&A and site-level reporting.
- Work closely with Accounting to ensure alignment between financial results, forecasts, and operational insights.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in FP&A, operations finance, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- High attention to detail with a growth-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operating environment.
- Exposure to capital investment analysis and operational KPI reporting.
- Experience supporting global or multi-business unit organizations.
- Familiarity with OneStream or other financial planning tools.
