Sr Finance Manager

Lead the Commercial FP&A team at our Morris Plains, New Jersey location on a hybrid work schedule, reporting directly to the Electronic & Specialty Materials (ESM) segment CFO.

About the role

You will ensure the delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting, forecasting, and planning processes—including monthly close, management reviews, and Annual Operating Plan (AOP). Partnering closely with business leaders, you will consolidate performance across multiple lines of business, identify key risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to support decision-making and achievement of business commitments. As a people leader, you will develop and coach team members, strengthening their analytical, leadership, and communication skills while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead a mature Commercial FP&A team in consistently preparing timely, accurate, and complete deliverables, including:
  • Monthly close reporting
  • Weekly Pulse deliverables
  • Monthly ESM segment MOR and SOL LT presentation decks
  • Quarterly MD&A commentary
  • Annual AOP processes
• Develop tactical and leadership qualities in direct reports, expanding their exposure and presentation opportunities while providing coaching on purpose and effectiveness.
• Lead with humility and coach the importance of telling the story to leadership that informs their decisions and highlights opportunity levers and risk mitigation tactics.
• Collaborate across functions to understand business objectives and grow confidence and trust in the Finance organization.
• Consolidate multiple lines of business into the holistic ESM segment and support the CFO by escalating significant variances and risks that could deviate from communicated commitments.
• Build a strong Say/Do ratio, both in forecast accuracy and in action items taken away from meetings and calls.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in progressive finance roles
• Strong financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting skills
• Comfort with month-end close processes, including booking reclassing and accrual journal entries
• Proven leadership skills; comfortable leading teams and projects
• Strong and confident communicator with peers, subordinates, and leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Continuous improvement mindset to challenge existing processes, drive efficiencies, and evolve workflows
• Strategic thinking and a proven ability to drive financial initiatives
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities

Pay

The annual base salary range for this position is $164,613 – $205,766. This position is also incentive plan eligible. Salary offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and market and business considerations.
