Sr. Field Service Technician

About the role

Xylem is a global water solutions company dedicated to addressing critical water challenges. We are seeking a Field Service Technician Level 2 to join our team of passionate professionals dedicated to solving water issues through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, repair, and conduct hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
• Troubleshoot electrical control panels
• Understand and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
• Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and emergency callouts
• Operate and maintain a service truck with crane and out-riggers
• Operate industrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift, overhead cranes, etc.
• Accurately record keeping inside Xylem’s work order management system
• Create and maintain a safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization
• Interact with customers

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of technical work experience
• Skills: Electrically and mechanically inclined, critical thinking and troubleshooting ability, comprehension of technical information, communication skills, experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices

Pay

Competitive compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Daily local travel required, up to 50% overnight stays, depending on location.
