About the role

This is a Home-based role in the Greater Dallas, TX Area including Fort Worth and Waco. The Sr Field Service Technician is a unique opportunity to be the front line of Videojet's customer interaction through daily service and support. Through advanced technical and commercial training, you will enhance all aspects of our organization. In this entrepreneurial role, you operate from home and commute to some of the world's largest manufacturing companies. At these sites, you will support sales growth by discussing service agreements, new products, while delivering the highest quality of customer satisfaction in our industry. Our highly advanced industrial equipment will be installed, repaired, and maintained by you at our customer sites. This cross-functional position provides you with new and exciting opportunities to advance based on your performance.

What you'll do

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Videojet coding and marking equipment at customer facilities
  • Travel throughout the greater Dallas territory to support manufacturing customers, with most work completed during the day and limited overnight travel
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software‑related issues and deliver effective, timely solutions
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with customers by acting as a technical advisor and problem solver
  • Support business growth by identifying opportunities to promote service agreements and newer technology solutions

Travel requirements

Travel is primarily regional within the Greater Dallas, TX area including Fort Worth and Waco and is planned in-advance to allow flexibility in managing schedules, routes, and customer visits. Overnight travel is occasional and not routine.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of technical, mechanical, electrical, or field service experience
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to comply with customer safety requirements, PPE standards, and site access policies
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Technical Degree preferred and/or relevant military training; other backgrounds welcome to apply with relevant work history
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, lift, stretch, bend, and squat throughout the day

  • Technical Agility - Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Computer Hardware and Software; having the desire to work with best-in-class technology and learn new skills
  • Strong Interpersonal skills - Being able to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, from front line operators to senior management, and remaining professional at all times
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Sense of Urgency - Having the drive and motivation to take action and prioritize daily tasks; working strategically to ensure we are getting to every customer
  • Adaptability - being able to think quickly and respond positively to change

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $28.00 - $30.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
