On-site support at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) in St. Louis, MO, for an Analysis Office delivering AOS Metadata Cataloging and Management Services. Enhance product and asset management to enable rapid creation of discoverable, modular, web-enabled, and visually enriched Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) products for NGA and the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients to understand questions and issues involving datasets, then determine the best method and approach to create data-driven solutions within program guidelines.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), leading and assisting in the development of automated processes, architecting data science solutions, and conducting analysis using available tools.
  • Remain adaptable to mission requirements and identify patterns to help solve complex problems facing the DoD and Intelligence Community (IC).
  • Work with large structured and unstructured data in a modeling and analytical environment to define and create streamlined processes for evaluating unique datasets and solving challenging intelligence issues.
  • Lead and participate in the design of solutions and refinement of pre-existing processes.
  • Translate roadmap features into components/tasks, estimate timelines, identify resources, suggest solutions, and recognize possible risks in collaboration with customer stakeholders, program managers, and product owners.
  • Use exploratory data analysis techniques to identify meaningful relationships, patterns, or trends from complex data.
  • Combine applied mathematics, programming skills, analytical techniques, and data to provide impactful insights for decision-makers.
  • Research and implement optimization models, strategies, and methods to inform data management activities and analysis.
  • Apply big data analytic tools to large, diverse sets of data to deliver impactful insights and assessments.
  • Conduct peer reviews to improve the quality of workflows, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Help build high-performing teams; mentor team members to increase their technical skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI/Poly.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience (a combination of years of experience and professional certifications/trainings can be used in lieu of years of experience).
  • Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with Esri solutions such as Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and secure enterprise Esri portals such as Safehouse and ICGIS.
  • Senior-level proficiency in Python and its data science and visualization ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib, Plotly, Dash, Bokeh, and related libraries.
  • Demonstrated experience creating highly customized visualizations and analytic applications to meet unique operational and business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience automating analytic and business processes using Python and related technologies.
  • Experience applying artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) techniques to structured and unstructured datasets.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, data visualization, and business analytics (a combination of experience, professional certifications, and technical training may be considered).
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in data mining and developing, maintaining, and manipulating databases.
  • Experience identifying and implementing system enhancements, new capabilities, concept demonstrators, and modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytic methodologies and experience implementing them to support mission and business objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Master's degree in Data Science or a related technical field.
  • Experience developing and working with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML).
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced programming techniques using one or more of the following: HTML 5/Javascript, ArcObjects, Python, Model Builder, Oracle, SQL, GIScience, Geospatial Analysis, Statistics, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, Arc SDE, ArcIMS.
  • Experience using .NET, Python, C++, and/or JAVA for web interface development and geodatabase development.
  • Experience building and maintaining databases of GEOINT, SIGINT, or OSINT data related to area of interest needs.
  • Data visualization experience, which may include Matrix Analytics, Network Analytics, and graphing data to assist the analytical workforce in generating common operational pictures.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,000–150,000 annually.
