Sr. Estimator - Mechanical/Plumbing

We are a leading contractor in Montana seeking a seasoned Senior Estimator with expertise in Mechanical and/or Plumbing projects to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your estimating skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and services.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to effect cost reduction.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Collaborate with contractors, architects, and engineers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Consult with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Assist in the preparation of bidding documents, including developing bid strategies and packages.
• Evaluate and manage the pre-construction and construction stages of a project.
• Coordinate with the project management team to monitor job progress and adjust estimates as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical/plumbing estimating in the construction industry.
• Proficient knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.
• Experience with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, piping, and other related mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and the ability to interpret them accurately.
• Proven ability to prepare and present estimates and bids effectively.
• Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and computer programs.

Pay

$90,000 - $150,000 per year
