Sr. Equipment Rental Specialist

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to support telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction and industrial equipment. This role serves as the company’s front line of contact, understanding customer equipment needs, negotiating and placing orders, and delivering customer satisfaction through a professional attitude. The position offers steady hours with potential overtime and provides a career track for growth into outside sales or operational management.

Responsibilities

• Support customers via phone and in-person with equipment rental needs.
• Understand customer requirements and negotiate orders.
• Maintain a professional attitude to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform administrative tasks related to sales and customer service.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with various types of construction and industrial tools and equipment.
• Previous equipment rental industry experience preferred.
• Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.

Skills

• Strong customer service and telephone skills.
• Solid computer and administrative skills.
• Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Pay

Base pay range: $23.52 - $27.93 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
