Sr. Equipment Rental Specialist

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Sr. Inside Sales Representative to support telephone and walk-in customers with rentals of all types of construction and industrial equipment. This front-line role involves understanding customer equipment needs, negotiating and placing orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction through a professional attitude. The position may also include supporting logistics for equipment delivery and training other team members.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers renting construction and industrial equipment.
• Understand customer equipment needs and negotiate orders.
• Maintain a professional attitude to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Perform administrative tasks related to sales and customer service.
• Support logistics for dispatching equipment delivery.
• Train other team members as needed.
• Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.
• Work indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• At least 3 years of equipment rental industry experience or a 4-year degree plus 1 year of equipment rental industry experience.
• Strong customer service and telephone skills.
• Solid computer and administrative skills.
• Successful completion of the DOT Qualification process preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be preferred in some locations.

Pay

Base pay range: $22.85 - $27.13 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
