Sr. Enterprise Network Security Manager

Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Lead and manage enterprise network security architecture across on-prem, cloud, and remote environments
    • Lead the architecture, deployment, and optimization of network security solutions using Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, Prisma) and Zscaler SASE (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX)
    • Design and manage secure enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, cloud, and hybrid environments
    • Drive Zero Trust and SASE strategies, aligning security controls with business and user experience requirements
    • Oversee firewall policy design, threat prevention, URL filtering, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions
    • Ensure secure integration with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SaaS applications
  • Operations & Security:
    • Own day-to-day network security operations, including incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
    • Partner with SOC, IAM, and cloud teams to ensure cohesive security posture
    • Establish and maintain security standards, best practices, and documentation
    • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, SOC2, NIST)
  • People & Project Management:
    • Manage and mentor a team of network and security engineers, providing technical guidance and career development
    • Lead security-related projects from planning to execution, including vendor coordination and stakeholder communication
    • Prioritize workstreams, manage budgets, and track deliverables across multiple initiatives
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Act as a trusted advisor to IT leadership, application teams, and business stakeholders
    • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
    • Evaluate emerging security technologies and make recommendations for adoption

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 10+ years of experience in networking and network security, with at least 4+ years in a technical lead or management role
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Palo Alto Networks (NGFW, Panorama, Threat Prevention, Global Protect)
    • Zscaler SASE (ZIA, ZPA; ZDX preferred)
    • Enterprise routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, TCP/IP)
