About the Role
As a Sr. Engineering Technician at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in assisting engineering activities and driving the success of our projects. You will work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of engineering tasks and the delivery of high-quality Inertial Guidance and Navigation solutions. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in the success of our projects. This role impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of our engineering processes, contributing to the overall success of our projects and the growth of our business.
Responsibilities
- Setup test benches and equipment
- Conduct tests and experiments according to established procedures
- Analyze test data and provide technical support to engineering teams
- Assist in product integration and troubleshooting technical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of test procedures and results
- Operate general purpose test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators)
- Operate environmental test equipment (e.g., Rate Tables, Thermal Chambers, Thermal Vacuums)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute project plans
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to solve complex engineering problems
- Ensure timely and successful completion of projects within budget and scope
Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen
- Minimum 4 years of experience in test engineering or a similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to drive results and meet deadlines
- Experience with test methodologies and tools
Note: This role is for a 3rd Shift Schedule (11pm - 7:30am)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Inertial Guidance Systems/Sensors Test
- Proactive initiative and ability to work independently
- Strong data analysis and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage complex tasks
- Attention to detail in testing and issue identification
- Coachability and willingness to learn proper testing methods
