Sr. Engineering Manager (Electrical)

Privately-owned medical device manufacturer in east TN has immediate opening for a Sr. Engineering Manager who can lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers in the development of high‑tech electromechanical systems for medical applications. The company enjoys a strong industry reputation and a track record of growth, operates in a highly collaborative, small‑team, high‑impact environment with minimal bureaucracy, and the role is primarily strategic (“high‑view”) with occasional hands‑on project work.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, safety compliance, and production of electromechanical systems for medical devices.
• Develop and mentor engineering talent.
• Function effectively in a small team, high‑impact setting.
• Occasionally dive deeper into projects as needed.

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE degree.
• 10+ years of engineering management experience in the medical device industry.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex, cutting‑edge medical devices involving high‑power RF amplifiers, high‑voltage and high‑current power supplies.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional EE/ME teams.
• Strong mentoring and talent‑development skills.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, low‑bureaucracy environment.
