Sr. Engineer - Water/Wastewater

The Water/Wastewater department at Larson Design Group (LDG) is seeking a Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license and at least 10 years of relevant experience. This role functions as a technical leader, coordinating design activities, project schedules, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs independent planning and design tasks, reviews work of others, prepares construction documents, and ensures projects are completed successfully.
• Handles technically complex projects and maintains up-to-date knowledge of codes and standards applicable to the design of projects.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with project team members across departments and functions.
• Conducts initial QA/QC reviews of project submissions and assists in the development of schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates.
• Works closely with project teams to effectively describe and deliver project scopes of work.
• Promotes and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to enhance the quality of deliverables and minimize errors and omissions.
• Performs and checks design calculations, technical specifications, and prepares cost estimates.
• Develops and maintains design budgets for routine scopes of work.

Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of job-related experience.
• Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the A/E/S industry and the ability to quickly review, understand, and resolve complex design and construction-related issues.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or hydrologic and hydraulic software packages for site layout, grading, utility, and storm water management plan design.
