About the role

Thermo King is transforming our engineering verification and validation processes, and we want you to be a part of this journey. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Verification and Validation (V&V) Senior Engineer to drive meaningful change and grow your capabilities in our innovative environment. In this position, you will be an integral part of multiple product development teams, playing a key role in enhancing our V&V capabilities. Your contributions will directly impact the exceptional quality we deliver to our customers.

The role is on-site (5 days a week) and is designated as safety-sensitive, which may require additional drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Embed within multiple product development programs of diverse sizes and complexity, ensuring the Design Verification Plan fully covers system requirements and proactively filling gaps in the process.
• Work with sustaining engineering projects, applying V&V methods with a continuous improvement mindset to drive increased quality.
• Enhance existing and develop new V&V processes, including tests, analyses, inspections, and demonstrations.
• Collect, analyze, and report V&V test data, providing critical insights and recommendations to the product team.
• Leverage data sources (test, analysis, warranty, quality, and telematics) to evaluate the robustness of existing V&V methods and drive improvement.
• Design, develop, and execute testing protocols for innovative transport refrigeration systems and components.
• Lead portions of engineering digital thread initiatives, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Management, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Simulation Process and Data Management (SPDM). Support integration of these tools with the V&V strategy.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams within engineering, including test laboratories, product development, and program management.
• Lead the documentation of assigned V&V processes, ensuring they are comprehensive, consistent, and accurate.
• Utilize the breadth of the Thermo King team to make connections, grow your skillsets, and gain a broad perspective of the business.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in a product development role. Experience with product development processes and tools is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field. Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply if they have practical experience, relevant skills, and alignment with our leadership principles.
• Demonstrated history of leading and completing projects on time and meeting critical deliverables. Experience with assessing risk and executing test plans.
• Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects with limited supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and an initiative-taking approach.
• Experience working in a test laboratory environment; proficiency with data acquisition and analysis tools is preferred.
• Demonstrated agility in a changing environment—a willingness to learn and adapt to innovative technologies and methodologies.

Additional Requirements and Environmental Exposure

• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriate for a laboratory environment, including safety glasses and safety-toe shoes.
• This role may be exposed to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noisy operating equipment, and other variable environmental conditions based on location.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $105,228.33 – $146,720.00. This is a salaried position and is not eligible for incentives, sales commission, or overtime. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
