About the role

E+ES currently has an opening for a Power Electronics EOL Test & Validation Senior Engineer. This position is located in Mossville, Illinois with responsibility for the production manufacturing EOL (End of Line) of Power Electronics product lines. The incumbent will report to the E+ES Power Electronics Manufacturing Engineering Manager and will partner with and provide technical EOL sing guidance to global engineering and supplier partner teams.

Responsibilities

  • Implements and improves sing, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling and machinery to maximize product quality.
  • Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing.
  • Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
  • Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
  • Planning and improving sing procedures and operations to make the s more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
  • Making sure that results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability are monitored.

Requirements

  • A degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience working in an Engineering function.

Coordinates execution of s plans, including resources, strategy, schedules, processes and tools. Collaborates with design team to ensure sing considerations are incorporated into system design. Recommends tools and techniques for automating, simplifying and enhancing product sing. Compares and contrasts alternative sing methodologies and tools. Matches sing methodology and tools to product being sed; develops s scenarios and scripts. Estimates time, effort and resources required for thorough sing.
  • Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing or product development environment. Evaluates business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution. Resolves difficult or high-impact equipment and systems problems. Monitors machine performance and history; addresses excessive maintenance or repair needs. Coaches others how to resolve integration or communications problems in multi-vendor environment. Applies specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approach. Uses advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems.

Skills

  • Top Candidates Will Have Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited college or university in an Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering/Technology curriculum OR extensive related experience in lieu of a degree.
