About the Opportunity

The Sr. Engineer, Software role is responsible for leading the development of cloud-based platforms and applications. This position involves hands-on design, development, testing, and support of software solutions, contributing to the organization’s ability to deliver robust, scalable products. The role also includes technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across global teams to ensure high-quality software delivery that aligns with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and test feature designs to identify issues or risks
• Translate feature requirements into implementation tasks
• Develop features following best practices and architectural guidelines
• Ensure product qualities such as testing, automation, security, and performance
• Verify design and implementation meet stakeholder requirements
• Support operational deployment and sustainability considerations
• Collaborate with technical architects and leads on feature design
• Communicate risks and issues to team leadership
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members
• Take ownership of technical decisions and feature delivery
• Identify and resolve technical problems, escalating as needed
• Review and guide documentation and onboarding materials
• Maintain stakeholder communication on architecture and changes
• Foster effective relationships within product and support teams
• Prioritize and address technical debt and scope including defects
• Suggest and implement improvements in development processes
• Support planning related to estimates, dependencies, and risks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field
• Minimum 5 years experience in designing and programming large-scale applications
• Proven delivery of complex features end-to-end
• At least 2 years mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JPA/Hibernate)
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0/JWT, and microservices
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) and NoSQL stores (Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB)
• Minimum 3 years experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI feature integration
• Strong debugging skills for performance, memory, threading, and algorithms
• Experience with source control tools such as GIT or SVN
• Experience with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools such as Maven and Jenkins
• Effective teamwork, self-management, and clear communication skills in English

Pay Range and Compensation Package
