About the role

The role involves utilizing analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory, collaborating with other quality functions and cross-functional teams. Responsibilities also include analyzing supplied material non-conformance data, developing action plans, investigating issues, communicating with suppliers and stakeholders, and assisting with quarantine, containment, and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier-caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze supplied material non-conformance data and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
  • Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring accuracy of nonconformances, robust root-cause analysis, and corrective solutions are fully implemented.
  • Communicate supplied part issues impacting the factory to suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Absorb and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Assist with quarantine, containment and screening of suspect defective supplied hardware.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or other technical field of study, and five (5) years related Quality Engineering experience.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance or Higher.
  • Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Experience with LEAN methodologies or CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), control plans or supplier verification.
  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Proven experience in data analytics, identifying trends and creating action plans.
  • Proven experience in Project Management and leading cross functional teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
  • High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/ PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.).
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and deliver.
