Summary : As a Sr. Equipment Engineer of cylindrical batteries, you will improve equipment for program and design to increase overall efficiency and productivity and identify root cause or the equipment breakdowns. You will also provide education for equipment controls and devise plans to share base knowledge for company specific equipment. Responsibilities : Analyze Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE) for breakdown frequency and uptime for daily productionReport on OEE (Micro-stop, Breakdown Maintenance(BM), and yield) and create plans for improvementsDesign/review production work orders based on Programmable Logic Controllers(PLCs)Monitor OEE and Line of Balance(LOB) after improvements are madeInstall/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment and technology to line (i.e. installation of production equipment such as pressing machine, mixer, coater, etc.)Research/implement new technology for production equipmentProvide support to other engineers including delegating work orders to equipment and controls engineersCollaborate with related departments to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activitiesManage plans for daily maintenance activitiesTrain other equipment engineers with shared responsibilitiesComplete daily documentation and audits, as required by positionMaintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R StandardsSort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, SustainRight Location, Right Quantity, Right ContainerEnsure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environmentPerform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Requirements : Minimum of 7 years in engineering equipment experience in production/plant environmentBachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field requiredMust be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hoursSafety glassesSteel-toed shoesMust be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per dayLift/push/pull up to 35 pounds on occasionStoop, twist, bendReach overheadSit and/or stand for lengthy periods Skills : Microsoft Office SuiteEquipment designing programs (2D/3D)Production processesEquipment data analysis and processingProgrammable Logic Controller experience(PLC) * Preferred but not requiredSix Sigma certification * Preferred but not requiredDOE (Design of experiments) * Preferred but not requiredCAD (Computer-aided design) and coding * Preferred but not requiredKorean-English bilingual * Preferred but not required Why should you work here?
