Sr. Engineer, Data

For our client, a leader in the Hospitals & Medical Centers space, we are seeking a Senior Engineer – Data to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery within a healthcare environment.

About the role

You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most.

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines and API integrations
• Utilize generative AI tools to enhance engineering tasks and output quality
• Convert product and business ideas into incremental technical deliverables
• Participate in design sessions and provide thorough code reviews
• Implement data quality monitoring for reliable production data
• Recommend architectural patterns per enterprise platforms and best practices
• Employ generative AI regularly to improve development and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL
• 3+ years with big data technologies including Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Azure
• Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals like automated testing and DevOps
• Familiarity with polyglot storage architectures (relational, columnar, key-value, graph)
• Experience with Delta Lake tables and Parquet data in ADLS
• Background in building distributed applications using event-driven patterns
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership

Pay

$101,600 – $175,200 annually
