Responsibilities
- Provide thought leadership on Network Access Control (NAC) System strategy, policy, monitoring, alerting, reporting, and blocking.
- Develop and enhance NAC and Firewall policies based on Network Security Cybersecurity Standards, regulatory requirements, and business process analysis.
- Serve as a subject matter expert to management, business areas, and IT teams.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting with deep understanding of NAC, Palo Alto Firewalls, Threat Prevention, VPN, cloud firewalls, and security groups.
- Manage day-to-day activities including security-related changes, documentation, audit requests, and rule base optimization for firewalls, NAC, and other security controls.
- Identify security risks and lead remediation efforts in collaboration with security and partner teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Engineering, or a related field; or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation.
- Three (3) years of experience with Routing, Switching, 802.1x, VLAN, VPN, LAN, WAN, network, and cloud security.
- Three (3) years of experience with Network Access Control (Cisco or ForeScout).
- Three (3) years of experience maintaining Firewalls & Threat Prevention rules, signatures, and policies.
- Three (3) years of experience maintaining Network Access Control systems.
- Two (2) years of experience supporting and maintaining cloud firewalls and security groups.
- Experience with packet captures and strong troubleshooting skills, including reading packet captures.
- Understanding of the OSI Model and ability to explain how each layer functions.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
Work Schedule
This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence at 601 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202, with expectations to work on-site a certain number of days per week as determined by your manager. The employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Travel is not required for this position.
