Sr. Engineer, Application Security - USA Remote

For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Engineer, Application Security - USA Remote to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space. This role will shape and strengthen application security practices across product and engineering teams in a distributed environment. You will design scalable security testing and release controls that help teams identify risk earlier and build more secure software. The position also requires close partnership with developers and product stakeholders to automate guardrails, improve secure coding standards, and support vulnerability remediation across the organization. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $200,000 annually Responsibilities Engineer scalable application security testing across SAST, DAST, SCA, and IaC scanning Architect and promote secure designs and release controls for product teams Build automation and policy-as-code guardrails for development pipelines Support secure coding standards and vulnerability management workflows across the organization Qualifications 9+ years of experience in application security or security-focused software engineering Hands-on experience with secure design reviews, threat modeling, code reviews, and application security testing Familiarity with application security tools such as Snyk, Veracode, and Checkmarx within CI/CD environments Ability to work independently with product teams to address vulnerabilities and implement secure designs Benefits Remote work flexibility with a focus on work-life balance Comprehensive health care programs including medical, dental, and vision 401(k) plans for retirement savings initiatives Generous paid time off to support personal and family health Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
