What You'll Do
- Serve as system owner for electrical equipment, spares, and material specifications
- Monitor site conditions through regular field walks and data acquisition systems
- Review design and vendor documents; evaluate risks, constructability, and operational challenges
- Plan, coordinate, and execute complex preventive maintenance plans for switchyards, unit substations, backup power systems, and electrical busway distribution
- Develop, review, and execute sequenced switching orders, MOPs, and electrical switching diagrams for all electrical equipment
- Support and oversee complex LOTO activities for low, medium, and high voltage systems in accordance with site safety requirements, NFPA 70E, and OSHA
- Troubleshoot low, medium, and high voltage systems and perform root cause analysis on equipment failures
- Lead and support startup, commissioning, and buy-off activities; resolve open issues and punch-list items with cross-functional teams
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives with key stakeholders and engineering groups
- Size electrical systems including unit substations, transformers, busway distribution, UPS, and generator
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in the industrial or utility sector as a hands-on electrical field engineer or electrical applications engineer, with experience in power system design, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operation
- Proficiency in electrical protection systems
- Strong understanding of local and national technical and safety standards and codes (NEC, NETA, NFPA, OSHA), with working knowledge of NFPA 70E and NETA ECS for shock and arc flash safety
- Experience with utility-level distribution from commercial through industrial transmission-level systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with leadership
- Able to work effectively with engineers and technicians across disciplines, as well as vendors and contractors

Pay and Benefits
- Expected Compensation: $109,600 - $195,600/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
