Sr Electrical Engineer (HW Design)

About the Role

ANELLO Photonics is seeking a Sr. EE / HW Engineer to own critical aspects of the electrical architecture and implementation for next-generation INS and IMU sensor technology. This role involves shaping future ANELLO products with a strong sense of ownership and a product-first mentality, driving new ideas into action through hands-on technical work and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of electrical product design from concept to delivery to manufacturing, proactively anticipating and addressing potential roadblocks
• Design schematics and board layouts of medium to high complexity mixed-signal PCBA
• Manage electrical engineering CAD tools and libraries
• Work with the hardware team to select components and write hardware design specifications for board-level assemblies
• Collaborate closely with Sr. ME to ensure board fitment, clearances, and thermal issues are considered during board layout
• Create interface boards and systems for manufacturing
• Export accurate manufacturing info to key vendors to ensure board fabrication quality
• Export accurate BOM information to the purchasing team
• Inspect first articles for IPC610 workmanship
• Assist with board bring-up, debug, and standard EE lab work

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE degree with emphasis on Analog, Mixed Signal, and DSP Design
• 5+ years’ experience with schematic design, ideally with Altium for schematic capture and board layout
• Experience in system designs from concept to mass production
• Experience with sensor integration including MEMS and GNSS RF design
• Front-end power supply protection for products
• Communication buses including RS-232, RS-422, CAN, Ethernet, SPI
• Track record of delivering working products at product-oriented companies
• Excellent communication skills
• Passion for continuous learning and exploring new technologies
