Hybrid opportunity in Atlanta, GA: 3 days in office + 2 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering design efforts for medium to large-scale projects from concept through construction.
- Serve as a senior technical resource for project teams and clients.
- Drive project success by managing scope, schedule, quality, and budget expectations.
- Develop and adjust project work plans to support changing project needs and priorities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-performing solutions.
- Potentially serve as Project Manager on select projects.
- Review and approve complex electrical designs, calculations, analyses, and system studies.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and quality requirements.
- Review product submittals, shop drawings, and construction documentation.
- Provide expert-level responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
- Prepare technical reports, engineering narratives, and project documentation.
- Conduct site visits and assist in resolving complex field and construction issues.
- Delegate and oversee technical work across project teams.
- Mentor engineers at all experience levels, helping develop technical expertise and professional growth.
- Support team leadership initiatives, staff development, training, and quality improvement efforts.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 9+ years of progressive experience within the AEC industry.
- Experience with healthcare projects strongly preferred.
Skills
- Deep knowledge of electrical systems design for commercial, institutional, healthcare, or higher education facilities.
- Proficiency across multiple engineering design and analysis software platforms.
- Advanced understanding of industry codes, standards, regulations, and QA/QC processes.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project coordination efforts.
- Demonstrated success leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong coaching, mentoring, and talent development skills.
- Ability to make sound technical decisions and guide teams through challenging design issues.
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong client relationship management experience.
- Effective technical writing skills and experience supporting proposals and business development initiatives.

Additional Information
Supervisory Responsibilities: Acts as a senior technical leader, mentor, and advisor for electrical engineering staff. May seal and sign engineering documents where licensed and is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality, technical excellence, and professional development.
Work Environment: Hybrid office environment with periodic travel to project and construction sites for coordination, observation, and field troubleshooting.
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in both office and field settings, including occasional site visits that may require climbing stairs or ladders, navigating active construction environments, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
