Sr. Electrical Designer
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Sr. Electrical Designer to join our Buildings and Places Business Group in Fife, WA! This role is full time on site (5 days a week) at our Fife, WA location.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do

- Design and model building and site power systems.
- Design and model building and site lighting systems.
- Size, coordinate, and specify lighting fixtures and electrical distribution equipment.
- Calculate and analyze electrical loads.
- Perform lighting calculations to ensure adequate light distribution and energy-efficient design.
- Provide design support in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
- Attend meetings with the project team, including architects and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure electrical design complies with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare documentation for permit applications and agency review.
- Perform site visits and write field reports.
- Aid project managers to troubleshoot design and construction challenges.
Education | Experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the A/E/C industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Authorization to work in the United States (required).

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $81,000 - $100,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
