Sr. EHS Engineer - Air

About the role
Support the Sullivan Park Environmental, Health & Safety and Materials Management team by providing environmental compliance support for process, pilot-scale, and laboratory operations. This role serves as the site’s technical lead for air quality compliance, permitting, reporting, and regulatory interpretation while supporting broader multimedia environmental programs and partnering across the site to ensure compliance with federal, state, and corporate requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead site air compliance activities including permitting, reporting, emissions calculations, inspections, monitoring, and regulatory support.
- Evaluate environmental compliance requirements for new and modified processes, equipment, and projects.
- Support multimedia environmental programs including hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, TSCA, SPCC, Chemical Bulk Storage, refrigerant management, and ISO 14001 EMS initiatives.
- Manage environmental data, compliance documentation, consultants, and contractor support.
- Partner cross-functionally to integrate environmental requirements into operations, project planning, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Communicate compliance expectations, provide updates to management, and support investigations and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in environmental science, EHS management, engineering, materials science, or related technical field.
- 5+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience.
- Strong knowledge of air emissions compliance, permitting, emissions calculations, ambient air quality modeling, regulatory reporting, and applicable federal and state air regulations.
- Experience supporting multimedia environmental compliance programs.
- Strong technical writing, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting R&D, pilot plant, laboratory, or manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing environmental consultants and compliance projects.
- Experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems.
- Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related technical field.

Pay
The range for this position is $88,484.00 - $121,666.00 assuming full-time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
