Sr EH&S Specialist

Lead Industrial Hygiene and Exposure Control Programs

Conduct exposure assessments, air and noise monitoring, and implement chemical hazard controls with operational groups.

Manage OSHA Recordkeeping and Reporting

Oversee site safety metrics and communicate requirements across departments. Conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action planning to identify risks, determine root causes, and support timely follow-up.

Develop and Maintain EHS Procedures and Training Programs

Ensure regulatory alignment and coordinate training for employees, contractors, and new hires. Chair the Site Safety Committee and promote employee engagement by creating opportunities for participation in EHS initiatives.

Ergonomics, Laboratory Safety, Medical Testing Coordination, and Safety Equipment Management

Support safe work practices and compliance by overseeing ergonomics, laboratory safety, medical testing coordination, and safety equipment management.

Emergency Preparedness and Response Programs

Maintain emergency action plans and support Emergency Response Teams. Administer emergency preparedness and response programs.

Environmental Compliance Activities

Complete required reporting, oversee hazardous and nonhazardous waste programs, and evaluate environmental impacts of new chemicals.

Travel Requirements

May be required to attend conferences, seminars, or training courses. Travel will include providing project and expertise support across multiple facility locations.

Education and Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor’s in safety, engineering, science, industrial hygiene or applicable technical/related field
• Experience Minimum Required: 8 plus years in occupational safety, industrial hygiene and/or environmental regulations in a regulated pharmaceutical or specialty chemical manufacturing environment. Minimum of 3 years' experience in developing and delivering training to others.

Licenses and Certifications

• Highly preferred: Possess or be willing to obtain certifications in First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Materials, and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZPOWER), as needed to support regulatory compliance and emergency preparedness.

Work Environment

On-site in Gainesville, GA; Travel to Bend, OR and Clearwater, FL.
