Golden State Foods Position Description JOB TITLE:Senior EDI Developer JOB NO: TBD REPORTS TO:SOA/CRM Application Manager FUNC: CORP SUPERVISES: None Human Resources Approval/Date Functional Executive(s) Approval/Date: LOCATION: CORP JOB SUMMARYThe Senior EDI Developer is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of high quality, defect free integration systems and EDI on Integration platform. Essential Functions (% of time may vary depending on assignments/projects) Boomi SOA Projects 70%Work closely with customers and trading partners to gather requirements and design complex business applications and data integration solutions for X12 EDI on Boomi platform.Translate business processes and requirements into technical integration requirements.Design, build and implement Integration solutions involving X12 EDIs, Rest APIs, databases, XML, JSON, Flatfile and other industry standard protocols.Provide architecture-level support including Boomi configuration on Linux, X12 EDI setup, performance tuning, enhanced monitoring, and error handling, building reusable/standardized Boomi integration components.Implement best practices for managing and governing integrations and X12 EDI using the Boomi AtomSphere integration platform and various ERP systems including JDE and Dynamics 365.Systems SupportProvide on and off-hour support for Integration related issues to EDIs, ERP, warehouse, BI reporting, corporate applications teamsProvide support for EDIs, non-EDIs, trading partner Integrations for Orders, Invoices, Inventory and other Supply chain, Manufacturing, Financials and HR processes Integrations.Work with business users and internal IT teams to resolve specific problems or make changes in programs. Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections. 20% Application AdministrationEstablish and maintain security standards and policies to ensure data encryption and overall data protection.Provide insight into future programming trends such as AI.Develop and provide training and documentation in support of activities associated with Integration development and support. 5% Technology Project SupportEvaluate new technologies in area of specialty and provide input into future systems strategies.Modify existing programs to conform to process standards or make improvements in the existing program. Design & implement test scenarios, cases scripts. Varied Additional ResponsibilitiesAccountable for properly following all IT standards, processes and methodologies as applicable including but not limited to Quality Assurance (QA), Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC) and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).Other responsibilities and accountabilities may be assigned based on business and organization needs. Varied TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS Minimal travel requirements ( MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY None – Individual Contributor role Minimum Qualifications Education/Certification Two-year college required or applicable trade school or commensurate work experience, four-year college preferred. Boomi Certification is preferred. Experience 7+ years of progressively responsible experience designing, developing, and testing data integrations for medium- and large-scale applications using the Boomi platform.A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible information technology experience in a technical or software development capacity. Essential Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Refer to separate handout for Competency definitions (B/basic; P/proficient; E/expert): Technical Expert Proven ability to design and optimize application and data integration processes across disparate systemsExperience with enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, iPass, application and data integration patterns including ESB, MOM, JMS, SOAP/REST web services, databases, ETL, EDIPractical experience implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) design and enabling technologies including messaging, XML, JSON, web services, and HTTP, Boomi preferredExperience with Cloud and Software-as-a-Service paradigm and enabling technologiesGeneral knowledge of common business systems (CRM, SFA, ERP) and processes (lead to cash, requisitions, order management, etc.)General knowledge of key application infrastructure components such as VMware, storage (NAS, SAN, SMB), Java JVM, networking (firewall, load balancing, proxies) Proficient Significant experience of cooperation with external customers.Proficient understanding of HTTP communications, including the request-response lifecycle, methods, headers, status codes, authentication, security, and troubleshooting of web traffic.Proficient understanding of web service and application integration technologies, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, XML, JSON, and related communication standards.Experience working with Supply chain, Manufacturing processes and Logistics industry preferredHands-on experience with Boomi AtomSphere or other visual-based integration middleware platformsDatabase skills include SQL, data modeling, and databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, Redshift, Oracle)Experience with AWS data services, including Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Glue.Messaging skills including JMS (e.g. ActiveMQ, MQSeries, OracleAQ), Boomi Atom queueDevelopment/scripting skills with Java, Groovy, JavaScript Basic Business ContinuityHigh AvailabilityMicrosoft Office 365Server Operating SystemsUnderstanding of SSL/TLS certificates, including certificate chains, expiration, renewal, and their role in securing network communications.
