Sr Director, Talent Management
About the role
Sr. Director, Talent Management Talent is one of the most powerful levers TIAA has to win in the market — and this role puts you right in the middle of building it. The Sr. Director, Talent Management plays a key role in bringing TIAA's multi-year global talent strategy to life, translating enterprise vision into real programs and outcomes that shape how the business grows and performs. Reporting into the Head of Talent Management and partnering closely across the LOB People Teams, you'll help deliver talent management products that are genuinely competitive — the kind that make a difference in how TIAA develops and retains great people. This role is built for someone who wants variety and impact. You'll move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution as the business's needs evolve. If you like solving different problems, working with different partners, and seeing your fingerprints on multiple fronts of the talent strategy, this is where that happens.
Responsibilities
- You'll help develop and implement enterprise strategies that bring talent programs to life in ways that are directly aligned with what the business needs to succeed.
- You'll enable organizational design and effectiveness work that helps the business operate at its best as it chases its most important goals.
- You'll own human capital planning — building an approach that looks ahead to future capability needs and delivers workforce strategies tailored to what each part of the business actually requires. This is where you get to think ahead of the curve and turn that thinking into real plans.
- You'll partner closely with senior People Team and business leaders, acting as a trusted voice in strategic conversations and helping drive initiatives that matter.
- You'll champion TIAA's values, making sure they're not just words but something embedded in how talent strategy actually gets built and delivered.
- Data will be central to your work — you'll use analytics and workforce insights to track what's working, prove impact, and keep improving.
