Sr. Director, Product Management - Enterprise AI/ML

The Senior Director of Product Management – Enterprise AI/ML will lead a product team spanning the Machine Learning and AI platforms, responsible for capabilities that enable Capital One associates to train and serve models and Generative/Agentic AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Define Generative AI and ML Platform vision and strategy.
• Continuously evolve the platforms of industry‑leading AI/ML capabilities while maintaining a pristine user experience for our highly talented innovators.
• Partner strategically with adjacent platform leaders to maintain a cohesive and integrated enterprise platform ecosystem that adapts to a changing world.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• At least 7 years of Product Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer‑facing digital products.
• 7+ years in a large, data‑intensive multi‑line of business environment with significant complexity and scale.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience.
• 5+ years in innovative technology environments that embrace public cloud (e.g., AWS) and open‑source technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Spark, Ray, LangChain).
• 3+ years building business‑critical AI and Machine Learning products.
• Experience in AI Risk Management.

Pay

• Chicago, IL: $245,100 – $279,800
• McLean, VA: $269,600 – $307,700
• New York, NY: $294,100 – $335,700
• San Francisco, CA: $294,100 – $335,700
• Other locations: salary range based on local market.
• Eligible for performance‑based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long‑term incentives.
