Director, Product Management - Enterprise AI/ML
About the Team
The Director of Product Management - Enterprise AI/ML will lead a product team spanning the Machine Learning and AI platforms at Capital One, and will be responsible for the capabilities that enable Capital One associates to train and serve Models and Generative/Agentic AI applications that power our business. We are looking for a deeply technical product leader with a proven history of building products and experiences for data scientists and software developers. This individual will have deep domain expertise in AI/ML technologies for Data Scientists and familiarity with emerging infrastructure and autonomous multi-agent systems for Generative AI application development. An ideal candidate may have prior experience as an engineer or data scientist, with several years as a technical Product Manager and leader of a product management team. This leader will set the strategy and priorities grounded in technical understanding and user experience. They must be able to sit in the shoes of the user (data scientists and engineers) and drive adoption of Generative AI (including Agentic AI).

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products
- 7+ years of experience within a large, data-intensive multi-line of business environment with significant complexity and scale
- 3+ years of experience in people leadership
- 5+ years of experience in innovative technology environments that embrace public cloud (e.g., AWS) and open source technologies (e.g. Kubernetes, Spark, Ray, LangChain)
- 3+ years experience building business-critical AI and Machine Learning products
- Experience in AI Risk Management

Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
- Chicago, IL: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Product Management
- McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Product Management
- New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Product Management
- San Francisco, CA: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Product Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
