Responsibilities

  • Serve as a critical resource for the corporate partnerships team, helping to set and refine strategic priorities and strategies for current and prospective corporate and foundation donors.
  • Support the development of dynamic grant materials, proposals, presentations, budgets, stewardship reports, and other donor communications.
  • Develop strategic, integrated, and viable partnership opportunities in collaboration with the fundraising, mission, and marketing teams.
  • Act as an expert on research and industry trends, maintaining awareness of competition and identifying competitive threats.
  • Lead preparation for corporate partnerships team meetings and trainings, including development and distribution of resources and materials.
  • Manage the Senior Vice President, Corporate Partnerships and Direct Marketing’s preparation for and involvement in Board and Development Committee meetings, Town Halls, and annual priority and budget-setting processes.
  • Implement systems, processes, and tools to streamline the Corporate Partnerships Team’s operations to meet team and stakeholder needs.
  • Manage the Corporate Partnerships department budget, including accurate tracking of expenses, projections, and revenue reconciliation.
  • Collaborate proactively with other departments (Marketing, Mission, Legal, Experiential, Community Development) to secure resources for partnership development and strategy.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with leadership across the Corporate Partnerships team to promote knowledge sharing and cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead special campaigns and projects as needed.
  • Oversee management responsibilities, including planning, assigning, and scheduling work; reviewing work for quality; training staff; and ensuring productivity. This position currently has one direct report.
  • Serve externally with partners and prospects in a leadership and cultivation capacity, offering recommendations for hiring, pay changes, and termination (though final decisions rest with leadership).
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7–10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Experience and expertise in developing comprehensive partnership proposals.
  • Experience in building sales strategy and supporting execution processes.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions.
  • Ability to lead thoughtfully yet decisively in an organizational structure with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience leading others through complex situations while building trust, confidence, and respect among stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and focus.
  • Demonstrated success in business development/sales for an organization with significant national recognition.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to research, develop, present, and promote projects independently while prioritizing work and meeting deadlines.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required outside of your home office, depending on business needs.

Pay

Approximate salary range: $136,000 to $173,000. Exact compensation is based on factors such as labor market, job level, internal equity, budget, skills, experience, and geographic location.
