About the role
The Senior Director of Operations will join a collaborative leadership team focused on continued growth and operational excellence. The Senior Director of Operations will oversee major federal construction initiatives while helping scale the business to meet increasing project demand.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for complex federal construction programs and projects.
- Partner closely with executive leadership, reporting directly to the COO.
- Drive project execution, efficiency, quality, and client satisfaction across the organization.
- Support business growth initiatives and help expand operational capacity to meet increased demand.
- Oversee teams responsible for mission-critical, secure, and high-profile government construction projects.
- Ensure successful delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and performance expectations.
- Collaborate with project leadership to identify operational improvements and best practices.
- Build and develop high-performing teams to support continued organizational growth.
- Maintain strong relationships with government clients, stakeholders, and project partners.
- Help position the organization for future expansion and succession into broader leadership responsibilities.
- Serve as a senior operational leader for federal construction programs throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond.
- Guide strategic planning and execution efforts as the Senior Director of Operations while supporting long-term company objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Proven federal construction leadership experience is required.
- Experience managing large-scale government construction programs and operations.
- Strong understanding of secure facilities, mission-critical environments, and federal contracting requirements.
- Experience working within Pentagon environments or similar federal agencies is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive operational performance.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance day-to-day execution and long-term growth initiatives.
- Must be eligible to pass federal background requirements and maintain access to secure facilities.
