Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted financial partner to senior leadership by advising on business performance, growth planning, investment decisions, and broader strategic priorities.
- Build and lead long-range financial plans, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and scenario analyses that support sustainable profitability and organizational goals.
- Assess financial and operational results by examining revenue trends, margins, utilization, pricing effectiveness, client profitability, and resource deployment.
- Create executive-level dashboards, key performance indicators, and reporting packages that translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
- Direct enhancements to finance systems, reporting tools, and business intelligence capabilities to improve visibility and support future expansion.
- Oversee accounting and finance operations to maintain reliable records, strong controls, and consistent financial integrity across the organization.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities to ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with company standards and applicable regulations.
- Supervise core transactional processes including billing, receivables, collections, payables, payroll coordination, and related finance workflows.
- Ensure proper treatment of revenue recognition, project accounting, work-in-progress tracking, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany activity across entities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; an advanced financial or accounting credential is preferred.
- At least 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including substantial leadership responsibility.
- Background supporting a branding agency or another project-based services business is strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading finance teams and developing staff within high-performance environments.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, month-end close, cash flow planning, and variance analysis.
- Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting, including intercompany transactions, consolidations, and cross-border financial reconciliation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, lookup functions, and detailed data analysis.
- Experience using enterprise financial platforms such as NetSuite, Acumatica, or similar accounting systems.
