Sr Director North America Payments Team Lead
About the role
The Senior Director, North America Product Management leads product strategy and execution across a portfolio of strategic payments clients in North America. You will partner with client executives, delivery leaders, sales teams, and technology teams to align modernization priorities, shape roadmaps, and improve execution across concurrent programs. This role helps strengthen client outcomes, operational consistency, and product performance in a complex payments environment.
Responsibilities
- Define product strategies and modernization roadmaps across strategic client portfolios, with focus on real-time payments, ISO 20022, wires, ACH clearing systems, and digital transformation.
- Lead strategic client discussions to align product direction, business priorities, and market requirements across large North American financial institution accounts.
- Drive execution across multiple payments programs by aligning product, delivery, sales, and technology teams to defined goals, milestones, and outcomes.
- Establish governance, prioritization models, and repeatable product management practices that reduce execution risk and improve delivery consistency.
- Absess market trends, client requirements, and portfolio performance to refine roadmaps, support growth opportunities, and strengthen market positioning.
- Mentor product management talent through coaching, feedback, and development planning to build capability across a growing portfolio of initiatives.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex product and program issues, remove barriers, and maintain progress across high-priority work.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product management, payments, financial technology, or banking environments with responsibility for strategy, roadmap development, and execution.
- 10+ years of experience in North American payments domains, including real-time payments, wire processing, Automated Clearing House (ACH), and payments modernization initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience leading large-scale, multi-workstream programs across banking or financial services organizations with multiple internal and client stakeholders.
- Experience engaging executive stakeholders, including C-level leaders, to present strategy, influence decisions, and align priorities across complex programs.
- Experience building product frameworks, governance models, and operating practices that improve execution quality, prioritization, and measurable program outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, finance, technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting strategic account growth, business development, or expansion planning within payments or financial technology portfolios.
- Experience working with ISO 20022 transformation programs across client or enterprise payment ecosystems.
- Experience coaching product management teams in matrixed or multi-client environments.
- Experience working with major North American banks or large regional financial institutions.

Pay
$155,000.00 - $258,000.00 These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
