Sr. Director, Infrastructure Funding
About the role
The Infrastructure Funding role guides clients and members of the funding team through the grant acquisition processes and ensures external funding is secured in support of client capital initiatives. This role is self-directed and responsible for advancing funding programs with little oversight.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes advanced understanding of various state and federal funding sources and programs, including relationships with key members of state and federal funding agencies.
- Sets the strategy for securing funding, identifying the best approach for client projects.
- Completes applications and documentation to secure funding, based on application requirements.
- Directs others to complete tasks and assignments associated with the application and securing of infrastructure funding options.
- Develops key partnerships with CSMs and CSTs.
- Develops unique and personal relationships with key individuals within client organizations.
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
- Create guidelines, processes, and procedures for the strategic funding area.
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership in the execution of infrastructure funding.
- Offer exceptional client services, communicating with partners, and stakeholders.
- Manage subcontracts and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead client relations, competitor analysis, and strategic thinking to provide a broad understanding of the organization and strategic funding needs.
- Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of engagement, growth, and accountability.
- Oversee workload planning, performance management, and team operations to align resources with business objectives while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Flexibility to adapt and execute various additional assignments based on evolving needs.
Qualifications
- Exceptional strategic thinking and managerial skills, with a deep understanding of funding dynamics at various governmental levels.
- Advanced understanding of market dynamics, competitor analysis, client relations, and the ability to use these insights to enhance strategic funding operations.
- Strong proficiency in risk assessment and mitigation related to strategic funding.
- Strong ability to make crucial decisions to meet the project objectives and manage allocated resources.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of managers and individual contributors.
- Extensive business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the overall organization and assigned functional area.
- Experience leveraging federal and state funding programs, connections, to advance client projects.

Pay
The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
