This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. DevSecOps Engineer based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to build and evolve production-grade infrastructure and data pipelines within a modern AWS-based data lakehouse ecosystem. You will work closely with data engineers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to operationalize workloads across the full lifecycle, from ingestion and packaging through deployment, monitoring, and remediation. The position combines hands-on engineering with automation, security, scalability, and reliability. You will help shape DevSecOps practices, develop reusable infrastructure, and accelerate software delivery through robust CI/CD workflows. The role also provides opportunities to mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement. This is a fully remote position within a distributed Agile environment. Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain automation pipelines for workload packaging, validation, testing, deployment, and monitoring across AWS environments.Collaborate with data engineers and other engineering teams to operationalize workloads within the data lakehouse ecosystem.Develop and maintain integrations connecting data ingestion, storage, and downstream service repositories.Build reusable, composable, version-controlled infrastructure-as-code constructs and modules using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.Establish versioning, reproducibility, and lineage tracking for pipeline artifacts and configurations.Define and automate monitoring, alerting, and remediation strategies for deployed services and infrastructure.Ensure pipelines and infrastructure meet enterprise security, compliance, governance, scalability, and reliability standards.Apply software engineering best practices, including automated testing, code review, version control, and continuous integration.Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of DevSecOps practices, standards, documentation, and delivery processes.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to consistent software delivery practices across multidisciplinary teams. Requirements 6+ years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or a related technical discipline.3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and maintaining production pipelines and infrastructure.Strong proficiency in Python and solid software engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, and version control.Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Step Functions, Lambda, ECR, S3, Glue, IAM, and CloudWatch.Strong understanding of CI/CD and containerization technologies, particularly Docker, with experience building pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.Proven experience developing reusable and testable infrastructure-as-code constructs using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.Strong understanding of data pipelines, ETL/ELT concepts, data modeling, and AWS-based data lakehouse environments.Ability to apply software engineering practices to infrastructure and data workflows, including automated testing, reproducibility, version control, and code review.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and distributed teams.Experience with AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, data catalogs, metadata management, observability, and monitoring tools is a plus.Familiarity with data governance and compliance frameworks and lakehouse technologies such as Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake is advantageous.Experience contributing to open-source DevOps tooling and working in Agile development environments is valued.
