Sr DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

The Sr DevSecOps Engineer will drive security practices within the application engineering team, emphasizing automation, controls, and threat-awareness. They will recognize and embed security across all stages of the application delivery lifecycle. The role involves improving engineering team efficiency by integrating security-focused solutions into pipelines, deployments, and platforms. The Sr DevSecOps Engineer will own the entire lifecycle management of production systems, from design to incident response. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security and operational practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive security practices within the application engineering team, emphasizing automation, controls, and threat-awareness.
• Recognize and embed security across all stages of the application delivery lifecycle.
• Improve engineering team efficiency by integrating security-focused solutions into pipelines, deployments, and platforms.
• Own the entire lifecycle management of production systems, from initial design through deployment and incident management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security and operational practices.

Requirements

• Extensive background in software development, including experience with languages such as Java, .NET/C#, Python, Node.js, etc.
• Several years of experience working in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering environments, with a focus on integrating security practices.
• Proven ability to manage production systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial design through deployment and incident management.
• Practical knowledge of Salesforce continuous integration and deployment processes, including implementing automated testing and maintaining code coverage standards (experience with GearSet is a plus).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) components like IAM, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, and related services, along with experience automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform.
