Our craftsmanship is evident in the steel structures supporting various projects and in the architectural details enhancing commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews design drawings for accuracy, completeness, and coordinates resolution of discrepancies and/or missing information with Job Captain.
• Reviews RFI's, bulletins, etc., that impact changes in scope of work.
• Captures project sequencing and basic detailing job setup including advance bills and shop & erection drawings.
• Coordinates with detailing Job Captain to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of drawings are maintained.
• Creates 3D models using Tekla.
• Provides effective leadership to junior detailers.
• Affords assistance to fabrication teams with technical questions regarding drawings & material specifications.
• Addresses fabrication issues arising during the construction phase.
• Works independently and as part of a team to generate detailed shop drawings and erection plans using Tekla.
• Incorporates design specifications, project requirements, and relevant building codes into the drawings.
• Reviews and back checks drawings before submitting to Job Captain.
• Mentors and reviews work of junior detailers, providing feedback and guidance.

Requirements

• Possession of a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years' experience in miscellaneous steel detailing.
• Proficiency with Tekla Structures software.
• Knowledge of building codes IBC ADA Title 24.
• Knowledge of AISC standards and AWS codes.
• Strong background in miscellaneous metals, stairs, structural & architectural detailing.
