Sr. Design Specialist Cabinetry & Home Renovation
About the role
Own the Design Process: Lead cabinetry and home renovation projects from concept to completion. Use 2020 Design Live or similar software to develop layout plans, renderings, and product recommendations based on customer inputs, measurements, and needs. Be the Technical Expert: Educate customers on cabinetry construction types (framed vs. frameless), materials (MDF, plywood, solid wood), finishes (painted, stained, laminated), and specialty features (soft-close hinges, pull-outs, and more). Deliver Personalized Consultations: Whether it's in-store, virtual, or in-home, you'll meet customers where they are. You'll listen deeply, learn their style and renovation goals, and recommend functional, beautiful solutions tailored to their timeline and budget. Connect the Dots from Start to Finish: Develop floor plans, mood boards, 3D visuals, and complete product packages. You'll manage each project’s full lifecycle—from early design to final purchase—and offer support through post-order services to ensure a smooth renovation experience. Educate + Inspire: Stay ahead of design trends and new materials, bringing fresh ideas to every customer interaction. Help customers see how tile, flooring, kitchen, bath, and plumbing products can work together to create the space they’ve dreamed of. Leverage Design + Sales Tools: Use analytics and digital tools to build persuasive space plans, presentations, and shopping experiences that help grow the business while putting your creativity to work.
