Sr. Design Engineer (Utilities) - Dynamic Engineering

Responsibilities
- Lead due diligence investigations and design and engineering analyses for water and wastewater utilities to support various types of retail, commercial, industrial and residential site projects.
- Work with several Fortune 500 companies and local/regional developers on projects of varying complexity.
- Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property.
- Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports, including reviews of ordinances, utility service research, outside agency regulations, and site visits.
- Prepare Conceptual Utility Plans and Design of Utility Systems Design Plans.
- Prepare construction cost estimates.
- Perform calculations related to pumping systems and hydraulics for various unit processes at water and wastewater facilities.
- Prepare technical reports including water and sanitary sewer reports.
- Prepare written correspondence to outside agencies, clients, contractors, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4+ years’ experience in Civil Utilities Engineering.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain and operate personal and/or company vehicle.
- Familiarity with the use of AutoCAD to assist in the production of site plan drawings.
- Knowledge of the planning and zoning process.
- Knowledge of Hydraulic and Stormwater Design Programs.
- Design and drafting capabilities.
- Grading and drainage design skills.
- Utility design experience including water main extensions, gravity sewer conveyance systems, pump stations, and force mains.
- Experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals.
- Proficiency in the use of available mapping websites for due diligence and site investigation purposes.
- Proficiency in the use of the following design tools for site and utility engineering:
- AutoCAD Civil3D
- Hydraflow
- StormCAD
- Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA)
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Software including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
- Proficiency in the use of Bluebeam Revu and/or Adobe to prepare design document markups.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Independent and critical thinking abilities.
- Superior organizational and delegation abilities.
- Ability to work and lead in a team-oriented environment.
- Client management experience.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85k - $105k.
