Sr. Design Engineer Consultant - HVAC

About The Role

As a CBRE Design Engineer Sr Consultant, you will be responsible for managing design activities related to construction and other projects for medium to large-sized clients. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Identify the client's project goals, objectives, and quality expectations through data and research
• Act as a liaison between key stakeholders and the project team
• Build and develop lasting relationships
• Ensure HSSE compliance in all designs and creations within the project
• Oversee all phases of the design, documentation, and construction process, including programming through contract administration, and the coordination of consultants
• Work with the marketing department to create complex proposals, schedules, and fees
• Manage all matters related to project initiation and implementation, development, and execution, including financial performance and preparation of consultant agreements
• Plan, organize, and supervise the work of a multi-disciplined project staff, including scheduling and adhering to budget projections
• Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function
• Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
• Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, open at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view
• Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
• NCIDQ certification or Architectural license required
• The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions
• Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
• Strong leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department
• Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred
