About The Role
As a CBRE Design Engineer Sr Consultant, you will be responsible for managing design activities related to construction and other projects for medium to large-sized clients. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality design solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Identify the client's project goals, objectives, and quality expectations through data and research
- Act as a liaison between key stakeholders and the project team
- Build and develop lasting relationships
- Ensure HSSE compliance in all designs and creations within the project
- Oversee all phases of the design, documentation, and construction process, including programming through contract administration, and the coordination of consultants
- Work with the marketing department to create complex proposals, schedules, and fees
- Manage all matters related to project initiation and implementation, development, and execution, including financial performance and preparation of consultant agreements
- Plan, organize, and supervise the work of a multi-disciplined project staff, including scheduling and adhering to budget projections
- Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depth knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function
- Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values
- Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, especially at senior levels and of divergent interests, to adopt a different point of view
- Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams
- Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies
- Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals
- Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence
- Solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business
- Use innovative methods to think beyond existing solutions
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8-10 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
- NCIDQ certification or Architectural license required
- The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions
- Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
- Strong leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred
Pay
The minimum salary for the position is $135K per year and the maximum salary for the position is or $160K per year. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
