About the role

A highly experienced DeltaV Automation Engineer with a strong background in pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturing environments. Specializes in leading automation projects from design through startup, with deep expertise in DeltaV control systems and system integration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads automation projects from initial design through commissioning and startup, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Designs, configures, and supports DeltaV control systems to meet project specifications.
  • Integrates DeltaV with systems such as Syncade, OSI PI, SQL, VMware, and LIMS to optimize manufacturing workflows.
  • Collaborates directly with clients to gather requirements and provide technical guidance on automation solutions.
  • Creates and reviews detailed technical documentation and system design specifications.
  • Troubleshoots complex automation issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Coordinates with project managers to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Mentors junior automation engineers to foster technical growth and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensures all work complies with quality standards and cGMP regulations.

Required Qualifications

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV control systems.
  • Proven track record leading automation projects in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, batch manufacturing, and OPC communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Syncade, Ignition, OSI PI, SQL/SSRS, VMware, and LIMS.
  • Familiarity with Kepware or Matrikon OPC, MATLAB, and enterprise infrastructure such as Cisco, Dell, or EMC.
  • Prior experience mentoring engineering teams.
